SITE REMEDIATION REPORT <br /> FORMER AMERICAN FOREST PRODUCTS FACILITY <br /> 2801 NEST LANE <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report has been prepared in order to describe corrective actions taken to remediate <br />' impacted soil, and to monitor groundwater at the former American Forest Products Company <br /> (AFPC) facility in Stockton, California. These corrective actions were taken in response to the <br /> discovery of leaking underground storage tanks containing diesel fuel <br /> Site history and background information are discussed in Section 11 Section 2 0 presents <br />' a summary of Corrective Actions leading to the discovery and subsequent soil and groundwater <br /> investigations, feasibility study, and site remediation work plans resulting from leaking underground <br />' storage tanks located on the site Results of groundwater monitoring investigations are discussed <br /> in Section 3 0. Soil remediation activities are presented in Section 4 0, and conclusions are <br /> a <br /> presented in Section 5.0. <br /> The appendices to this report present summaries of all previous investigations as well as new <br />' data which has not been presented to the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) in <br /> previous reports The new information includes well installation boring logs, and laboratory reports <br />' of confirmational soil sampling from the soil remediation activities <br /> 11 SITE HISTORY <br /> The former AFPC facility is located just outside the city limit of Stockton, California <br />' (hereafter referred to as "the site") is located in San Joaquin County and covers approximately 40 <br /> acres. The site vicinity map is shown in Figure 1.1 The site has two entrances, at 2801 West Lane, <br /> and at 1811 Marshall Avenue. AFPC operated a wood manufacturing plant at the site between <br />' 1921 and 1987 AFPC purchased lumber from other mills and manufactured finished products such <br /> as furniture kits, cut stock, agricultural boxes, and moldings In the spring of 1987, American <br />' Moulding and Millwork Company (AM&M) acquired the AFPC Stockton site, and currently <br /> maintains similar operations at the site. <br /> The site consists of several structures which include storage sheds for lumber, various wood <br /> } manufacturing equipment, offices, and a large maintenance shop located at the southern end of the <br /> SAC36 046 1 <br />
