UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL REPORT <br /> Parrish i Sons <br /> 3128 East Miner Avenue <br /> ' Stockton, California <br /> ' 1. 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Miles Parrish of Parrish & Sons, Inc. , <br /> Geological Audit Services, Inc. (GeoAudit) has supervised the <br /> removal of one (1) underground storage tank (UST) at the referenced <br /> ' site. The UST was removed by Helmick & Lerner of Sacramento, <br /> California. This report describes the tank removal operations, <br /> sampling methods, and laboratory results. <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> ' 2.1 Location <br /> The site is located in a flat industrial/residential area of <br /> eastern Stockton, west of State Highway 99 (Figure 1) . The site is <br /> the former location of Parrish & Sons, Inc. , a drilling contractor. <br /> ' 2.2 Depth to Groundwater <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water <br /> Conservation District, Depth to Groundwater Map (Fall, 1990) , the <br /> ' depth to groundwater in the area is approximately 70 feet. <br /> ' 3.0 TANK REMOVAL <br /> 3.1 Tank Description <br /> ' Representatives of Helmick & Lerner removed one 250-gallon waste <br /> oil tank from the site on June 1, 1993 . The tank was moderately <br /> rusted and appeared to have a few small holes near the top. <br /> The tank was located south of a work shop, adjacent to a mechanics <br /> work pit on the eastern side of the property (Figure 2) . The date <br /> of the tank installation is unknown. <br /> 3.2 Tank Disposition <br /> ' Approximately 150-gallons of oil/diesel and sludge were removed <br /> from the tank by Evergreen Environmental Services. The tanks were <br /> triple rinsed with a pressure washer using a non-halogenated <br /> cleaner and purged with dry ice. The tanks were transported under <br /> non-hazardous manifest to Cal-Coast Tank in Turlock. <br /> ' 1 <br />
