Ground Zero Analysis, Inc. <br /> SITE SAFETY PLAN <br /> II <br /> FACILITY BACKGROUND !' <br /> i <br /> The site is currently operating as a convenience store rhe facility formerly utilized a two 10,000-,l <br /> gallon underground storage tanks (UST) for the storag of gasoline and one 10,000 gallon UST for <br /> the storage of diesel fuel. The tanks were installed in 1984 and removed in January 1999. �� <br /> Elevated levels of petroleum hydrocarbons were detect in soil and groundwater samples collected <br /> from the UST excavation. i <br /> WORK PLAN <br /> Task One: Advance up to nine (9) soil borings us' g a truck mounted Geoprobe 5400 direct <br /> push drilling rig and hand augering tools. The borings will be placed in the vicinity of the former <br /> tanks to determine the extent of soil and groundw er contamination resulting from past site <br /> operations. Depths of the borings will range from )proximately 12 to 25 feet below ground! <br /> surface (bgs) for direct push borings, and 6 to 8 feet bgs for the hand augered borings. <br /> Task Two: Collect soil samples from each boring for logging and submittal to a state-certified <br /> laboratory for analysis.
