Box 388 0 Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> (209) 468-3420 C 0 �� <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGIONAL <br /> WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD .fUN14 1994 <br /> TANK SECTION <br /> 3443 ROUTIER RD STE A <br /> SACRAMENTO CA 95827-3098 <br /> RE: CAL FARM SUPPLY COMPANY <br /> 2040 W WASHINGTON; STOCKTON <br /> BANKRUPTCY CASE NO. 287-04176-A-7 <br /> Based on information which is currently and actually known to the <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division, (PHS/EHD)t we have determined that all appropriate <br /> response actions have been completed, and that all acceptable <br /> remedial practices were implemented, and that no further <br /> investigation, remedial action, or monitoring is required at the <br /> site with regard to the underground storage tank formerly located <br /> at this site. <br /> In accordance with the State Water Resources Control Board contract <br /> #3-060-550, the Case Closure Summary is enclosed along with a site <br /> specific chronological summary of the case activity. <br /> The following conditions continue to exist at the above site: <br /> Low levels of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons, Gasoline and <br /> Diesel (TPH-G and TPH-D) have been detected during the <br /> groundwater monitoring activities. However, no soil <br /> contamination was documented or visually observed during the <br /> 19 April 1990 underground storage tank removal. <br /> The CVRWQCB Agricultural Regulatory Unit determined that the <br /> "pesticide contamination at the site has been reduced to <br /> levels which will not pose a threat to other surface or <br /> groundwaters" and referred the underground storage tank issue <br /> to the CVRWQCB Tank Unit, which in turn referred the case to <br /> PHS/EHD on 20 October 1992 . <br /> The presence of toluene was detected during the construction <br /> of the monitoring wells throughout the site between the depths <br /> of 10 - 15 feet below grade (fgb) . Toluene is a common <br /> constituent of many compounds used in industrial applications. <br /> This presence of toluene was not interrupted by the CVRWQCB <br /> Agricultural Unit as being a significant threat to water <br /> quality. <br /> d Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
