`` =��•'� Kennedy/Jenks Consultants <br /> AP -7 I'M 2: 22 Engineers and Scientists <br /> 3336 Bradshaw Road,Suite 140 <br /> Sacramento California 95827 <br /> 4 April 1994 - 916 362 3251 <br /> FAX 916 362 9915 <br /> Ms Diane M Hinson, REHS <br /> Public Health Services <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br /> P 0 Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Subject Groundwater Sampling Results - First Quarter 1994 <br /> Cal-Farm Supply - Stockton Facility <br /> KIJ 922540 00 <br /> I <br /> Dear Ms Hinson <br /> This letter transmits the results of the groundwater sampling event performed at the <br /> Cal-Farm Supply - Stockton Facility in the first quarter of 1994 This sampling event was <br /> conducted in accordance with our sampling plan approved by you in your undated letter <br /> received in our office on 15 November 1993 <br /> FIRST QUARTER 1994 GROUNDWATER SAMPLING EVENT <br /> i <br /> On 8 March 1994, groundwater samples were collected from monitoring well MW-1 by a <br /> Kennedy/Jenks Consultants geologist Prior to sampling, groundwater elevations were <br /> measured and recorded for each onsite monitoring well The groundwater flow direction <br /> was calculated in the field based on the elevation measurements collected from wells MW- <br /> 1, MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4 At the time of this sampling event, groundwater flow was to <br /> the northeast The groundwater flow direction had shifted slightly from the east- <br /> northeasterly direction calculated during the 8 December 1993 sampling event Because <br /> the groundwater flow direction was to the east-northeast, groundwater samples were not <br /> collected from wells MW-2, MW-3 or MW-4, located upgradient of well MW-1 , or from <br /> well MW-5 located down-gradient of well MW-1 Table 1 presents current and historical <br /> groundwater elevation data <br /> Prior to sampling well MW-1, the well was purged using a Teflon bailer During purging, <br /> the pH, temperature, conductivity and volume of water purged from the well was <br /> monitored and recorded This information is included in the attached Groundwater Purge <br /> and Sample Form The purge water was collected in the 55-gallon drum at the site One <br /> original and one duplicate groundwater sample were collected from MW-1 using a <br /> disposable bailer The collected groundwater samples were transported in a chilled ice- <br /> chest with a Chain-of-Custody form to Anlab Analytical Laboratory in Sacramento, <br /> California The samples were analyzed for the presence of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons <br /> as both gasoline (TPH-G) and diesel fuel (TPH-D) using modified EPA Method 8015 <br />
