The Site Health and Safety Plan for l�these activities is included <br /> as Appendix A. Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedu11 <br /> res that will be implemented and <br /> maintained by Terranext for this scope of work are provided in Appendix B. <br /> I� <br /> 4.1 Permits and Clearances �I <br /> ,l <br /> Necessary permits for drilling will be obtained from the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services - Environmental Health Division (the County) prior to initiating fieldwork. In <br /> addition, Underground Service Alert subscribing companies'will be notified of field activities <br /> a minimum of 48 hours prior to drilling activities. Also, prior to,drilling, a private utility <br /> locator will be used to clear the drilling locations. I <br /> i I <br /> l <br /> i 4.2 Soil Boring Advancement and Soil Sampling Procedures <br /> As outlined in Section 3.0, 19 soil borings will be drilled and sod samples collected at the <br /> locations shown on Figure 2. <br /> 'p <br /> p f <br /> I <br /> E <br /> Soil borings will be drilled using two different types of syst ms. The borings within 4 feet <br /> of the walls of the Stockton Savings Bank building (Parcel 4, 501 West Weber Avenue) will <br /> be advanced using a limited access hydraulic push, e.g. Geoprobe,type rig. The Geoprobe <br /> I <br /> rig will be mounted on a Bobcat® tractor and a continuous sample! will be collected in 2-foot <br /> increments. The samples will be field screened with a photoioniz tion detector (PID) and <br /> observed for signs of impact. Samples will be collected for:analy§is at 5-foot intervals. Soil <br /> I <br /> samples selected for analysis will be immediately withdrawn';from� e sampler and placed in } <br /> laboratory supplied $,ounce Mass jars and sealed with Teflon -lined plastic lids.
