The facility generates brown dust, heavy black dust, and floor sweep wastes. The wastes are collected and consolidated into a 20 yard bin in the back of the facility. A TTLC test was done on the combined waste stream. The results show that chromium was present in the sample at 500 mg/kg and copper at 11,000 mg/kg. According to the Safety-Kleen representative,the federal (TCLP)test was not run on the sample for chromium. The facility did not have any other test results on site showing that a TCLP test was done on the sample. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately cease disposal and make a complete RCRA hazardous waste determination on the above waste stream. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed.
