I-2.4.1 EWSF Spill Response Equipment <br />Due to the nature of the explosive wastes, spill control equipment located in M816 of the EWSF <br />is limited to mops, brooms, non -sparking shovels and dust pans, absorbent materials, and <br />polyethylene or plastic bags. <br />In addition, EWSF personnel have access to a trailer containing bulk emergency release response <br />equipment. The trailer is maintained at the Building 883 Container Storage Area (CSA). The <br />equipment serves as a backup for the Fire Department and can be used for large -release <br />mitigation. The Hazardous Waste Management Facility Representative is responsible for the <br />response equipment and ensures that it is ready to respond. . <br />Fire Extinguisher <br />A fire extinguisher (minimum rating 2A:1Q$C) is permanently located at M816, as shown in <br />Figure I-2-2, and additional extinguishers are available on the explosives transportation vehicle. <br />These extinguishers are for fighting small external and internal fires where explosives are not <br />involved. <br />I-2.4.3 Safety and Decontamination Equipment <br />Three eyewash AA I <br />ge showers are provided for use by Facility personnel in the event of <br />accidental contact with the waste. <br />Due to the nature of the wastes that are stored at this facility, special decontamination equipment <br />is not necessary. <br />I4 <br />.4.4 Communication Equipment <br />A telephone is located outside M816. In addition, Facility personnel wear radio pagers; carry <br />hand-held, "trunked" radios; and/or use vehicle radios.
