CULTURAL RESOURCES
Person/Agency Timing or Frequency
Mitigation Measure, Monitoring Requirements Responsible' of Monitoring'
Impairment of the scientific potential of the various sites
cannot be mitigated by capping the sites or excavating a
portion of the affected area. The visual quality of the setting
and the visual connectivity of the various sites cannot be
mitigated without redesigning the project.
Due to the severity of the impacts associated with the
proposed plan and the rarity of the sites effected, impacts to
the complex from the proposed housing and recreational
development are also not mitigable unless the project is
redesigned.
The following elements of the proposed development must be Review revised site plan. SJCCDD FM
abandoned at their present location on highly significant
archaeological sites and redesigned in areas designated low
to moderate archaeological sensitivity:
• Buckeye Drive from Coyote Court to, and including,
Live Oak Court;
• Deer Trail Court;
• Valley Oak Drive south of the north lines of lots 21
and 22;
• Lots 2, 3, 4, 11, 12, 13, 19, 20, and 21; ed22,- and
• The southern half of lots 5 and 14.
In order to avoid known habitation and burial sites, the
proposed access road and bridge to Davis Road should be
moved 800 feet to the east from where it crosses Mokelumne
River. The existing dirt road should not be altered, and
because of previous disturbance,a three-foot layer of fill
should be added.
Golf links numbers 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12, plus the club
house, must be eliminated or relocated off known habitation
and burial sites.
