Site Description: This site consists of a midden soil containing sparse amounts of shell. <br /> The site datum is a single large oak tree. <br /> 10. Area 84 m (N-S) by 24 m (E-W); 1,583 m2 <br /> Method of Determination: Compass and taping, with boundaries determined based on <br /> presence of shell. These boundaries were then checked using carbonate testing of soils. <br /> 11. Depth: unknown Method of Determination: <br /> 12. Features: None observed. I <br /> 13. Artifacts: No formal artifacts were observed. <br /> 14. Non-Artifactual Constituents and Faunal Remains: Sparse fragments of fresh water <br /> mussel shell can be observed on the surface. <br />
