3.2 Service Infrastructure of Buckeye Ranch (Zone 4)
3.21 Circulation
Vehicular Traffic
i
The number and location of external entrance/exit points into the property is illustrated on
the Site Plan (map 4). Primary access to the homes will be provided through gated
entrances from Forest Lake Road.
Assuming acceptable rights-of-way can be obtained from owners along the extension of
DeVries or Davis Roads, a new bridge would be constructed across the Mokelumne River.
The bridge would enable owners to transport excavation material from Tracy Lake for use
of the Department of Water Resources New Hope Reclamation District Hazard Mitigation
project or similar projects and provide a second gated access route to the property.
It is also contemplated that, with the cooperation of adjoining landowners on the north side
of Forest Lake road, the owner would apply to the County for the abandonment of that
portion of Forest Lake Road which abuts the subject property. If the application were
approved, security gates would be installed at the point where Forest Lake Road reaches
the subject property.
In addition, the property is served by an entrance off of a private right-of-way from the
extension of Jahant Road. This existing access point is intended to be used only as an
access point for the eastern natural areas portion of the property and not as a main entrance.
Buckeye Ranch Resource Plan (November, 1993)
84
