A35
The Davis Road/Route 12 intersection is a prime example of where a signal would not be justified. Even
though the peak hour may show a need for a signal, the rest of the day the traffic on both roads is light
enough that traffic, especially on Davis, would be subjected to unnecessary delay waiting for a green
light.
• Page 4.2-10- Please show regional trip distribution, the percentages given are not clear. We would like
to see project trip impacts on I-5 and Route 99;the turning movements could be shown on figures 4.2-1 A36
through 4.2-4.
• Page 4.2-17, Paragraph 2 -The answer to mitigating conditions at the Davis Road/Route 12 A3?
intersection, if it is used by haul trucks,is to not haul during peak hour, and not put in a traffic signal.
We appreciate the opportunity to review and comment on this DEIR. Any questions on these comments may
be directed to Chris Sayre of our Planning Department at (209) 948-7142.
Sin er ,
AL J 'SON
IGR oordinator
Attachment
cc: B Meays/SJCCOG
K Sullivan/SJCCDD
III-31
