M BY:PH0NE5106448701 ; 4- 8-82 ; 6:28kM K1NKO'S UNIVERSITY- 3
Mulck 4/8/92 Comments an Buckeye Ranch EIR
Page Comment or Question
3- 10 Equestrian trail: The planned equestrian trail
"11121 follows a pre-existing trail that appears to have
L been used for decades.
3-12 #1 Tree protection during construction: A
temporary fence is necessary to protect trees
during construction. The location of the fence
should follow the TPZ (tree protection zone)
guidelines as described in the Buckeye Ranch
X122 Management Plan (BRMP). The TPZ would in
many cases be greater than 4' outside the dripline
and also would encircle closely spaces groups of
trees.
Occasional deep watering of oaks in summer is
considered beneficial by several tree experts.
Special attention should be directed to keeping
water and turf away frotn the root crown - the
base of the trunk of the tree - according to County
environmental horticulture advisor, Gary Hickman.
III-lll
