Impacts associated with development of the golf
course and homesites would be similar to the proposed project. No modification to South Tracy
Lake would ensure the integrity of the cultural resources located in the center of this water body.
Vii
The project proponents do not propose disturbing the artifacts. A well-thought out construction
mitigation plan will protect these resources.
Page 6 - 7 Noise.
:244 Noise associated with truck traffic along the haul route would increase current noise levels for
residents of David Road and Ray Road. The hours of operation for off-site hauling should be
restricted to between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or the haul route should be changed so that fewer
residencesare affected.
This is the route that impacts the least number of residences.
Page 6 - 8 Cultural Resources
The following roadways and housesites should either be eliminated or relocated on the site to
;245 areas of low sensitivity: Buckeye Drive, from Coyote Court to and including Live Oak Court;
Deer Trail Court; Valley Oak Drive, south of the north liens of lots 21 and 22; Lots 2, 3, 4, 11, 12,
13, 19, 20, 21, and 22; and the southern half of lots 5 and 14; golf links 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 15,
and the clubhouse; and the access road and bridge moved 800 feet east of the proposed
crossing. Additionally, tha southern margin of the proposed irrigated pasture land should be
relocated 600 feet north of the southern property line and areas designated for the storage of
excavated soil moved to the eastern half of the project site.
Once again, any homesite which would disturb an actual cultural site should be relocated. Roadways
should avoid cultural sites where feasible, and encapsulate burial sites when avoidance is otherwise not
feasible. The golf course design should be such as to not cut into any cultural site, and preserve
features visible on the ground surface.
F_ Appendix G Cultural Resources
C246 Page 11, Photo B shows a tractor with a disking device that is used as part of the on-going farming
operation on this agriculturally zoned piece of property.
