The following is an itemized list of underground storage tank violations that have not <br /> been addressed for GRANT LINE SHELL* as of May 12, 2020. <br /> Open violations from May 30, 2019 inspection <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#320 - Failure to comply with the installation, inspection, or record keeping of the overfill <br /> prevention. <br /> The 87 product, 89 product, 91 product and diesel product did not have an overfill prevention system. All <br /> underground storage tanks shall be equipped with an overfill prevention system that does not allow for manual <br /> override and meets one of the following requirements: <br /> 1. Alert the transfer operator when the tank is 90 percent full by restricting the flow into the tank or triggering an <br /> audible and visual alarm; or <br /> 2. Restrict delivery of flow to the tank at least 30 minutes before the tank overfills, provided the restriction occurs <br /> when the tank is filled to no more than 95 percent of capacity; and activate an audible alarm at least five minutes <br /> before the tank overfills; or <br /> 3. Provide positive shut-off of flow to the tank when the tank is filled to no more than 95 percent of capacity; or, <br /> 4. Provide positive shut-off of flow to the tank so that none of the fittings located on the top of the tank are <br /> exposed to product due to overfilling. <br /> Immediately contact a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor to install an approved overfill prevention <br /> system. Replacement of a mechanical flapper valve requires a permit and inspection by the EHD. If an external <br /> audio/visual alarm is replaced, provide a copy of the service receipt to the EHD. If an approved overfill prevention <br /> system can't be installed immediately, there is a possibility that the 87 product, 89 product, 91 product, and diesel <br /> product UST system may be red tagged to prevent fuel inputs. <br /> Owners or operators of underground storage tanks that do not meet California Code of regulations, title 23 division <br /> 3, chapter 16 section 2635(c)(2) shall test overfill prevention equipment once by October 13th, 2018 and every 36 <br /> months thereafter; and within 30 days of the date of a repair. The site did not performed the testing by October 13th, <br /> 2018. Ensure to conduct overfill prevention equipment inspection within the time frame provided by the regulation <br /> and submit test results within 30 days of performing the inspection. Imminently schedule the overfill prevention <br /> inspection for the 87 product, 89 product, 91 product and diesel product system.
