2.2 Responsibilities of the Pro'ect Geologist/Engineer/Site Health and Safety <br /> Officer <br /> The Project Geologist/Engineer will also serve as the site health and safety officer <br /> and site emergency coordinator (SHSOISEC) The SHSO/SEC will be responsible for executing <br /> safety, health, and emergency procedures The responsibilities of the SHSO/SEC are <br /> • Coordinate field activities with the site staff on a regular basis, <br /> • Ensure that a detailed HASP is available on-site, <br /> • Ensure that safety and health equipment is procured on time, <br /> • Coordinate reporting any accidents or injuries, <br /> * Locate the support facilities in an uncontaminated area, <br /> • Implement the safety, health, and emergency response training described <br /> in Section 6 0 of this HASP, <br /> • Assure that the exposure monitoring plan described in Section S 0 of this <br /> HASP is implemented, <br /> • Assure that all Radian personnel correctly select and use personal <br /> protective equipment (PPE) and apply safety practices that are appropriate <br /> to the site-specific conditions, <br /> • Monitor subcontractor compliance with accepted health and safety <br /> procedures, <br /> • Take appropriate action, as described in this HASP, regarding accidents, <br /> fires, or other emergency situations, 1 <br /> • Conduct periodic safety review sessions for the drilling crew and other on- <br /> site personnel, <br /> • Ensure that safety equipment is properly maintained or disposed of, <br /> . Initiate corrective action for observed safety violations and report <br /> unsuccessful attempts to correct a violation to the program manager, <br /> • Prepare health and safety plan and addenda, <br /> P <br /> 2-2 <br />
