- hazardous properties (reactive, corrosive, toxic, ignitable)
- physical state (liquid, solid)
- composition (contents)
- accumulation start date
Immediately label this container and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are
marked with all the required information.
Corrective Action:
Although the drum was labeled with the hazardous property and an accumulation
start date, the ink was smeared and illegible. New labels are being used with
permanent markers to reduce the risk of smearing the ink. The drum was shipped
off-site by a licensed waste hauler on 9/20/17. Manifest # 006193528 attached.
608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters.
Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the last three years were not found on
site. Raul in the
Maintenance department stated that the filters are taken to Auto Zone for disposal, but no
records were available. A copy of each bill of lading must be kept on site for at least three
years. Immediately locate a copy of all bills of lading for used oil filters for the last three
years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD.
Corrective Action•
Masonite received a proposal from Safety Kleen a licensed waste hauler to reclaim
the used oil filters and provide the proper documentation. Masonite has trained
personnel to retain the documentation for three years. Attached Safety Kleen
proposal.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 209-948-0637 Ext
1613, (Auresteftmasonite.com) or our Facility EH&S Coordinator, Emmanuel Scott at 209-
948-0637 Ext.1623 (EscottCtmasonite.com).
SincerA.
lager - Masonite Corporation, Inc.
Facility
EgD/September 7, 2017 Inspection report
MW shavings waste proNle
PVA Glue Safety Data Sheet
Emergency Response Form
2/29/16 Manifest# 005328995
Tracking # for Manifest #005328995
9/20/17 Oily water manifest # 006193528
Tracking # for Manifest #006193528
Safety Kleen Proposal to transport used oil filter & metal shavings
Certification of Compliance
masonite.com
