Contact Management <br />• Ensure that the elevator nspected regularly, following local cod quirements. <br />• Management will report any incidences of elevator malfunction to the Elevator Service <br />Provider to ensure that the elevator is fixed. <br />During an Event <br />• DO NOT force open the elevator doors <br />• Make verbal contact with passengers <br />• Determine the needs of the elevator passenger <br />Entrapment - Medical Emergency <br />• Call 911 and obtain assistance <br />• Wait at elevator until Emergency Assistance arrives <br />• Notify the Elevator Service Provider (Schindler - 800-225-3123) <br />Entrapment - No Medical Emergency <br />• Notify the Elevator Service Provider (Schindler - 800-225-3123) <br />Note: Logistics Centers have on-site Elevator Maintenance <br />• Calm the trapped passenger(s) <br />• Check elevator doors at every level to make sure that the doors are fully closed <br />• Ask the passenger to press the door open button <br />• Ask the passenger to make sure the red stop/emergency switch is pulled out/extended <br />• Wait at elevator until help arrives <br />After an Event <br />• Follow up with Elevator Service Provider to ensure that elevator is in good working order <br />• Always follow instructions issued by Law Enforcement / Emergency Services. <br />• Refer to the EAP Procedures / Post Event Section for additional assistance. <br />• Help injured or trapped persons <br />• Give first aid where appropriate <br />If vau Receive a Bomb Threat - During the Event <br />1.
