Parking lot Preparation: <br />• Move shopping carts insi uilding (where applicable). <br />• Move product inside building. <br />• Ensure all drains are clean and free of debris, including loading dock and compactor areas. <br />Physical Security <br />• Coordinate the shut off of the following utilities with the QMT, Facilities or Maintenance <br />contact: <br />➢ Main Electrical Panel <br />D Main Water Riser/Intake Valve <br />➢ Main Gas Line <br />• Activate Burglar Alarm when evacuating the unit. <br />• Follow any established shut down procedures. <br />Elevators (where applicable) <br />When flooding is anticipated, move elevator(s) to the top most floor before shutting them off. <br />Facilities <br />• Inspect and clear drains. <br />• Address identified water leaks in the units. <br />Emergency Equipment Shutdown Procedures <br />• PRIOR to powering off equipment CONTACT THE SHC HELP DESK AT (800) 998-1500. <br />They will walk you through the orderly shut down process. <br />• Once contacted, the Help Desk will: <br />➢ Open a ticket on the issue. <br />➢ Walk through an orderly shutdown of all servers, routers, and MDF & IDF cabinets in the <br />unit and detached Auto Center (NOTE: The UPS backup power unit should remain ON). <br />➢ Provide direction on disconnecting power to the Blue Rack. <br />➢ Document all equipment shut off in the open ticket. <br />➢ Advise you to protect all computer room equipment by covering the pieces in plastic drop <br />cloth. <br />During an Event <br />• Take immediate precautions. Be prepared to go to higher ground. If advised, evacuate <br />immediately. <br />• Stay away from downed power lines and electrical wires. Electrocution is another major <br />source of deaths in floods. Electric current passes easily through water. <br />Evacuation Order Released <br />• Evacuate the building if ordered to do so by local authorities or if the conditions become <br />hazardous and it is not safe to remain in the location. <br />After an Event <br />Initial Return to a NON -Flooded Facility <br />• Return to the unit only after authorized by local officials. <br />C <br />31 <br />
