Stored hazardous waste on site greater than 90 days. The following containers were not marked with a start <br />accumulation date: <br />-30 gallon drum of waste brake fluid at the auto center <br />-saturated box of oily rags and absorbent, in the basement, at the auto center <br />The following container was marked with a start accumulation date of February 14, 2011: <br />-30 gallon drum of waste fuel at the retail store <br />Hazardous waste generators of > 1 000k of hazardous waste per month may only store hazardous waste on site up to 90 <br />days. Immediately have these wastes picked up, under manifest, by a licensed hazardous waste hauler. Provide a copy of <br />the manifest to this office within 30 days. <br />20. Failed to completely label containers of hazardous waste. The following containers were not <br />properly labeled: <br />-one 30 gallon drum of waste brake fluid at the auto center, was missing the start accumulation date. <br />-saturated box of oily rags and absorbent, in the basement, at the auto center, did not have a <br />hazardous waste label. <br />-one 65 gallon overpack drum, "A', at the retail store was missing the contents. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties <br />4. physical state <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. <br />27. Failed to keep containers of HW closed. A saturated box of oily rags and absorbent in the basement at the auto center <br />was seen open. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. <br />Immediately close this container and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br />30. Failed to mark empty containers. The following empty containers were not marked as empty: <br />-two empty 55 gallon drums at the auto center that previously contained hydraulic fluid. <br />-six 65 gallon overpack drums, B, C, D, E, F, and G at the retail store <br />Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were emptied <br />and managed within one year of being emptied.
