l •
((Ya'-I'iue Products Inc.
CHEMICAL COMPOUNDING &PACKAGING
June 6, 2014
DECEIVED
Ms. Stacy Rivera
San Joaquin County JUN 0 6 20%
Environmental Health Dept.
1868 E. Hazelton Ave. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMITISERVICES
Stockton, CA 95205
Re: Corrective Actions 3/24/14 Inspection
Dear Stacy,
I have enclosed copies of our annual emergency spill response training for our employees.
Any spills in our mixing, filling and drum storage rooms have been, and will continue to be,
washed into our floor drains that empty into our wastewater treatment tank. The wastewater is
treated and then released to the city sewer.
For spills in our finished goods warehouse, we are planning to purchase a floor scrubber to
clean those spills. The wastewater collected by the scrubber will be put into our treatment
system. We are looking for a suitable machine now and hope to have one in the next 30-60
days. In the mean time, if we have a spill, we will flood the area with water and use our shop
vacuum to collect the water and then put it into our wastewater treatment system.
For any spills outside our building, if at all possible, we will clean them with our floor scrubber
and put the wastewater into our treatment system. If we have to use absorbent, for example to
keep a spill from going into a storm drain, we will bag it,tag it and then send it to the
appropriate disposal site. Absorbent will only be stored in salvage drums by the doors that lead
outside the building.
Regarding the powder waste drums that have been stored for more than six months, we have
completed a waste profile and signed a services agreement with Waste Management. I am
expecting Waste Management to pick the drums up sometime next week. I will ask Mark to
email you a copy of the bill of lading.
Sincerely,
/
Doug Hall
2128 Industrial Drive Tel: 209.983.4000 valueproductsinc.com
Stockton, CA 95206 I Fax: 209.983.4080 valueproducts@aol.com
