There are L-3j areas of concern in <br /> the event of a spill. <br /> Waste Water Treatment Area <br /> - Wash Chemical Storage Area <br /> Boller Room <br /> 9.0 Compliance Maintenance <br /> Following is an inspection checklist used as a guide to ensure compliance, and to maintain safety <br /> and integrity in the work place. <br /> CHECK: <br /> • The integrity of containment structures. <br /> • All pipe work and valves for leaks/corrosion. <br /> • All chemicals are located in their designated areas, and are properly labeled. <br /> • That maintenance and operation of the pretreatment systems are sustained in <br /> accordance with good engineering practices. <br /> • All tank volumes(equalization, sludge, etc). <br /> • That all pits are clear of debris. <br /> • The correct operation of all trdnsmitters,transducers, meters, and pumps. <br /> NOTE: There may be other areas of concern to check periodically. Use this list as a guide <br /> and add to it as appropriate. <br /> 10.0 Public Relations/Media Contact Procedure <br /> Due to the sensitive nature of emergencies and the location of our facilities in a commercial or <br /> mixed residential/commercial neighborhood,the utmost consideration must be exercised when <br /> dealing with public inquiries and relations. in the event of an incident, all inquiries by the media <br /> should be deferred to the Emergency Coordinator or designated public relations group. At no <br /> time should employees offer comment on the incident to members of the media. <br />
