Boiler Room 9 Compliance Maintenance Following is an inspection checklist used as a guide to ensure compliance, and to maintain safety and integrity in the work place. CHECK: • The integrity of containment structures. • All pipe work and valves for leaks/corrosion. • All chemicals are located in their designated areas,and are properly labeled. • That maintenance and operation of the pretreatment systems are sustained in accordance with good engineering practices. • All tank volumes(equalization,sludge,etc). • That all pits are clear of debris. • The correct operation of all transmitters,transducers,meters,and pumps. NOTE: There may be other areas of concern to check periodically. Use this list as a guide and add to it as appropriate. 10 Public Relations/Media Contact Procedure Due to the sensitive nature of emergencies and the location of our facilities in a commercial or mixed residential/commercial neighborhood, the utmost consideration must be exercised when dealing with public inquiries and relations. In the event of an incident, all inquiries by the media should be deferred to the Emergency Coordinator or designated public relations group. At no time should employees offer comment on the incident to members of the media.
