Boiler Room <br /> 9 Compliance Maintenance <br /> Following is an inspection checklist used as a guide to ensure compliance, and to maintain safety and integrity <br /> in the work place. <br /> CHECK: <br /> • The integrity of containment structures. <br /> • All pipe work and valves for leaks/corrosion. <br /> • All chemicals are located in their designated areas,and are properly labeled. <br /> • That maintenance and operation of the pretreatment systems are sustained in accordance with good <br /> engineering practices. <br /> • All tank volumes(equalization,sludge,etc). <br /> • That all pits are clear of debris. <br /> • The correct operation of all transmitters,transducers,meters,and pumps. <br /> NOTE: There may be other areas of concern to check periodically. Use this list as a guide and add to it as <br /> appropriate. <br /> 10 Public Relations/Media Contact Procedure <br /> Due to the sensitive nature of emergencies and the location of our facilities in a commercial or mixed <br /> residential/commercial neighborhood, the utmost consideration must be exercised when dealing with public <br /> inquiries and relations. In the event of an incident, all inquiries by the media should be deferred to the <br /> Emergency Coordinator or designated public relations group. At no time should employees offer comment on <br /> the incident to members of the media. <br />
