Notify local Air and Fire districts for applicable permits prior to boot replacement. <br />2. Ensure all products used in the process of or in the replacement of the original flexible bootmeet <br />UL approval for the application. <br />3. Conduct the replacement of the new UL approved boot according to the manufacturers <br />recommendations. <br />4. Provide a copy of the manufacturers installation recommendations of the boot to the contractor <br />on site so that all inspectors may have access to it. <br />5. Schedule line test inspections for the primary and secondary lines so that they may be soap tested <br />prior to putting the lines back into operation. <br />6. Primary line test to be conducted at 1& 1 /2 times operating pressure, secondary lines to be tested <br />at 3 to 5 psi. <br />7. Piping slope must be verified by the inspector prior to backfilling. <br />8. Schedule a 24 hour lake test or equivalent certifiable test on the sump prior to backfilling. <br />9.
