Fn* Ruits • •
Flexibility.
One of the pioneering differences making The Advantage® series better is right out front in full view. It's the
main access door, and it opens up a lot of possibilities. A single piece of tough, corrosion -proof material, the
main access door houses the putdowns and all of the display and lighting assemblies. The main displays are
centered at eye level, and price -per-unit displays are visually tied to the corresponding hose or button.
The main access door holds two smaller options doors. Many of the customer options are literally built into
different versions of these smaller doors, making upgrades almost as easy as simply exchanging one options
door for another.
Graphics are flexible, too. Backscreened polycarbonate plastic
graphics panels fit into recessed areas surrounding the main
display and covering the putdown, brand/price-per-unit panel,
and options door areas. An adhesive backing makes them easy
to apply. If you change your image, just change the panels. The
Advantage dispensers also have large, locking lower access
panels, available painted or in stainless steel.
Serviceability.
Modular design sets The Advantage series well apart in the
serviceability arena. Groups of assemblies have been redesigned and merged into building blocks, most of
which are standardized across the entire product family. A unified hydraulic manifold, for example, handles
the job of several formerly separate components and can be used in any of The Advantage dispensers.
Displays and display boards are also standardized across the line, as are the options doors. A standardized
two-stage valve incorporates all the components of the previous design into a single compact module. The
proportional flow control valve — part of our patented blending system — is mounted in a similar location on
blending models to allow hydraulic standardization across the line.
Open the main access door, and you'll see The Advantage electronics
cabinet. All of the electronics are located here, and they're arranged
for quick and easy access. The Advantage series uses proven modular
electronics technology.
The lower access panel can be removed to provide free access to the
hydraulics cabinet. Our redesign of this area reduced the number of
hydraulic connections by more than half, thereby reducing the number
of potential leak points. 'There is now one filter per product instead of
one filter per hose. The Advantage series uses high capacity standard
and water alert Gilbarco filters, and they are oriented vertically for
faster and cleaner replacement.
A patented method of controlling valves through an air gap eliminates
the need for I -S barriers. Pulser drives and valve stems extend from
the hydraulics cabinet through the air gap and into the electronics
cabinet. The air gap is protected by a grill which allows air to pass
through unobstructed.
t
t
s
