June 14, 1996 <br />Emergency Response Plan <br />Underground Storage Tank Monitoring Program <br />This monitoring program must be kept at the UST location at all times. The information <br />on this monitoring program is a condition of the operating permit. The permit holder must <br />notify San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days of any <br />changes to the monitoring procedures, unless required to obtain approval before making <br />changes. <br />Required by Sections 2632(d) and 2641(h) CCR. <br />Facility Name: Beacon Station #1-641 <br />Facility Address: 1210 East Hammer Lane Stockton CA 95210 <br />If an unauthorized release occurs, how will the hazardous substance be cleaned up? <br />Note: If released hazardous substances reach the environment, increase the fire <br />or explosion hazard, are not cleaned up from the secondary containment within <br />8 hours, or deteriorate the secondary containment, the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department must be notified at (209) 477-3420 within 24 <br />hours. Employees have been instructed to immediately stop the release (i.e. turn off <br />the power.. close the impact valve) and use absorbent to contain the release and <br />prevent it's spread to critical areas such as storm drains and adjacent property. If the <br />release is within the station employees' ability to clean up, materials are available, or <br />else a clean up contractor will be called to assist. <br />2. Describe the proposed methods and equipment to be used for removing and properly <br />disposing of any hazardous substances. Stations are equipped with absorbent material <br />and metal drums._ When a release occurs. the absorbent is used to clean un the <br />material, and is stored in the drum. On a regular basis, the absorbent is picked up by a <br />vacuum truck and taken to a disposal facility_. <br />3. Describe the location and availability of the required cleanup equipment in item 2 <br />above. The cleanup materials are kept in the cashier area in a "Ready Bucket" to <br />provide quick access to the employees in a time of emergenc3L <br />4. Describe the maintenance schedule for the cleanup equipment. The station manager is <br />responsible for ordering an ade uate supply of absorbent and replacement brooms and <br />dust pans are available from our marketing supply center. <br />5. List the names and titles of the persons responsible for authorizing any work necessary <br />under the plan.
