SecondaryContainment Installation
CONTAINMENT rl DETAIL SUMP CONNECTIONS
When installing a secondary containment system, some
preparation is necessary if the closest possible separation of
lines is required. To minimize the overall change in elevation
when installing a clam shell containment crossover, it is
necessary to shorten one leg of the 450 containment elbow
and the side outlet run of the containment tee.
Refer to Table 10 for the maximum length that can be
removed and for the minimum nipple length of both product
piping and secondary containment piping.
NOTE: Use self -tapping screws or match drill two holes
(5/16") at a distance of 3/4" (19 mm) from the cut end of the
450 elbow and the tee.
TABLE 10. Containment Crossover Information
O) Actual length of the product nipple will vary slightly because of different
insertion lengths due to variations of tapers.
c tR71mu=
• Sump Entry/Termination Fitting with
Bonded Fiberglass Alignment Rings
NOTE: Alignment rings can be bonded to a flat fiberglass
surface only.
