Approximately two gallons of liquid was observed in the 91 Fill sump. It was observed there is <br /> standing puddle of water on the clogged.j4f pea gravel/dirt area that circumferences the tank sump. If <br /> water could enter into the secondary containment by precipitation or infiltration, it must be removed and <br /> disposed of properly. Immediately remove this liquid, make a hazardous waste determination per Title <br /> 22 hazardous waste regulations, and manage it accordingly. Ensure that the 91 Fill sump is maintained <br /> free of liquid. Make necessary preventative maintenance on the water drainage area for the pea gravel <br /> to allow proper precipitation drainage to prevent water drainage into the fill sump. Submit a statement <br /> how to prevent future liquid into the sumps. <br /> Submit to SJC EHD within 30 days (02/06/12)- <br /> 1. one copy of the completed "Return to Compliance Certification" form <br /> 2. a written corrective action statement for each of the above violations <br /> 3. requested/supporting documentation ie. Owner statement of current DO <br /> Notes: <br /> - Certification of Financial Responsibility and Letter from Chief Financial Officer/ Insurance is DUE BY <br /> end of January 2012. Submit a copy of documents to EHD. <br /> - Provided free training schedule for 2012. Recommended courses for store manager/employees: <br /> Underground storage tanks for operators. Hazardous waste and Universal waste management <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECT .
