2.12 The probe signal cables must be enclosed in conduit from the
console to the probe manway.
2.13 In areas in which local codes require that a licensed electrician run all
conduit. It will be necessary to have a licensed electrician run the
conduit:
1) Between the explosion proof box / EYS fitting in the probe
manway to the probe housing.
2) Between the console and the EYS sealoffs in the interior of the
building
3) Between the console and any external alarm devices.
3.1 The console will require an area of
EMS -2000 19"W X 12"H X 8 1/2"D
EMS -3000 23 5/8"W X 12"H X 8 1/2"D
of wall space for proper installation.
3.2 The lower surface of the console should be approximately 5 feet
above the floor to allow the console (after being mounted) to be at
normal eye level.
3.3 The console location should be selected to allow 3 inches of
clearance on the left side and 10 inches of clearance on the right
side of the console.
3.4 The console location should be such that the unit will not be damaged
by opening doors or by moving objects. -
3.5 The mounting surface for the console should be strong enough
to support the weight (49 lbs.) of the console.
3.6 Figure IH shows the console location on the same wall as the EYS
fittings. The console can be located on any wall as long as the above
requirements are met and the maximum cable length from the
probe manway to console location is maintained.
