The EMS is a totally integrated fuel management and
environmental monitoring system for use by
petroleum retailers and other owners/operators of
underground storage tanks (USTs). The installation
of the EMS provides the user with the ability to
comply with state and local environmental monitoring
regulations for both tanks and piping systems (which
were drafted from the Federal EPA Guidelines,
effective December 23, 1988), as well as meet various
business logistic needs.
Utilizing the EPA accepted technology of Automatic
Tank Gauging (ATG) for "in -tank" monitoring, the
EMS 2000/3000 enables the user to:
• Monitor 1-4 or 1-8 tanks per console
Generate "on demand" printed status and
history reports for each tank or manifold group
• Obtain instantaneous abnormal tank condition
warnings or alarms for:
a)
- Low and High Product Levels
- Water
- Theft
- Failed ATG Leak Tests
- Probe Failure
0 Verify product deliveries and assist in
inventory reconciliation
* Automatically generate fuel orders
Added capabilities further allow the EMS -3000 to
perform:
• Groundwater Monitorin-
• Vapor Monitoring
• Interstitial Monitoring of Double Wall Steel
Tanks (Liquid Hydrocarbon Phase)
• Interstitial Monitoring of Double Wall
Fiberglass Tanks (Liquid Hydrocarbon Phase)
• Interstitial Monitoring of Double Wall
Fiberglass Tanks (Vapor Hydrocarbon Phase)
• Reservoir, Double Wall Piping and Manway
Sump Monitoring (Liquid Hydrocarbon Phase)
• Line Pressure Monitoring
0
1-1 CoiAl Panel
The control panel of the EMS consists of a 4 -line, 20 -
character per line LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), a
three -position keyswitch, keypad, self test button and
a printer.
