i <br /> Health & Safety Plan <br /> 6.0 PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> 1. In order to protect personnel against injury from activities related to <br /> site work, all on-site personnel will be required to wear: <br /> * hard hat, <br /> * steel-toe boots, and <br /> * safety glasses. <br /> 2. The breathing zone in the area of the tank removal will be monitored <br /> by CPEI Corporation personnel with an organic vapor meter equipped with <br /> a photo ionization detector. If readings exceed 10 ppm total organic <br /> vapors in the breathing zone, work will be temporarily suspended. <br /> Personnel working in a breathing zone that exceeds 10 ppm will be <br /> required to wear the following health and safety gear before continuing <br /> work: <br /> *tyvek coveralls (yellow), <br /> *gloves (neoprene), and <br /> *air-purifying respirators with organic cartridges. <br /> 3. A Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) Meter will be on-site and will be used <br /> before any cutting, drilling or moving of tanks is begun. <br /> 7.0 SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES <br /> 1 . In the event of a spill or leak of flammable material from temporary <br /> storage tanks, the following procedures must be followed: <br />
