Inspect for open, broken or defective electrical fittings and repair
4. Clean solid waste from sump and place in 5 gallon labeled waste pail
5. Add water to a level 2" above piping penetrations
6. Measure depth of water in sump and adjust telescoping tube on testing
probe to center probe rod at water level
7. Install testing probe and avoid getting float wet above waterline. Clamp
probe to support stand
8. Zero digital meter once level stabilizes
9. Sump fails if level change on 24 minute test is greater then .004 inches
10. If the change of level during the test is 1/" or less, allow the fluid
temperature to stabilize for 1 hour and retest
11. Locate leaks, repair and retest if possible
12. Pump out water and retain as testing fluid
13. Vacuum dry and confirm sensor operation
14. Reinstall sensor and re -program monitor
15. Repeat for each turbine sump
..
w=9417171&75 "72
1. Identify product line secondary containment manufacturer
2. Connect test boot to the secondary penetration in the piping/turbine sump
3. Connect test equipment to the secondary test fitting
4. Pressure the system to 1 psig and check all fittings for leaks
5. Continue pressurizing and follow manufacturers testing procedures
6. Repeat for all other line secondary containment
Tank Annular Space.
1. Identify the tank manufacturer
2. Remove or isolate the annular space sensor so it will not be damaged
3. Follow all of the tank manufacturers test procedures.
Test Equipment:
1. Level Probe — Temposonics LH series probe (see attached sheet for
details)
2. Meter for Probe — Temposonics TDU — 100 meter
3. Digital Pressure Gage for Line secondary testing
4. Dial Vacuum Gage for Tank Annular Space testing
