4 <br />0 5. INSPECTION <br />TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />USING NSS 37E EPDXY/FRP TANK LININGS <br />PAGE 5 <br />A. The CONTRACTOR is to notify the Owner or his Agent of the <br />scheduled starting time of the prime coat application so <br />that, if desired, an inspection of the sandblasted surface <br />can be made. <br />i <br />B. The CONTRACTOR is to notify the Owner or his Agent of the <br />time scheduled for the closing of the tank so that an <br />inspection of the liner can be made. <br />6. CLOSING OF THE TANK <br />A. Where no hatch cover exists, and a manhole has been cut out, <br />the tank should be sealed as follows: <br />1. The cover plate should overlap the hole at least 2" on <br />each side and shall be rolled to match the contour of <br />the tank. The cover plate shall be bolted on 5" centers and <br />properly sealed to eliminate leakage. <br />B. Tanks being tested following the liner installation shall be <br />done at the owners sole expense. <br />C. The lining application operation shall be conducted with <br />care not to damage work which is to remain in place, and all <br />existing work damaged by such operations shall be repaired or <br />replaced without additional expense to the owner. <br />
