R ENED
-AJ N 7
COMMENT RESPONSES ENVIRONMENTHEALTH
FOR PERMIT/SERVICE-3
2512 WATERLOO EVR UPGRADE PERMIT
Please clarify what is the "pipe" penetrating the sump (but NOT connected to the tank)
drawn on Sheet 1? Is this "pipd'the old vent line, or new line, or some secondary
conduit where the old and/or new vent lines are pulled through to be connected to the
tank? Please label.
revIt F I
the tank. The new vent pipe penetrating the sump is the now ve line to
the EVIR. I
2.) EHD had asked for the "fate of the existing vent lines to the vent' in two previous email
correspondences dated April 6 and May 5. 2010. The workplan stated that "existing vent
lines to remain connected". Does that mean the existing vent line is still connected to the
exsting vent column but is cut off /capped off inside the sump, or is it cutoff outside the
sump? Please provide drawing of the existing vent and where it is cut off from the tank.
The existing vent lines are not to be modified in any way. The existing veril
lines are to remain connected to the existing vent column and to the
existing tanks through the exiting sumps. The exact location of the
existing vent lines is unknown. Note has been added at vent stand on
Sheet 1.
3.) EHD had asked for depth of the penetration into the 91 sump. Is the above -referenced
"pipe" drawn on the workplan where the new vent line penetrates into the sump? If this
pe" drawn on the workplan has nothing to do with the new vent line, how is the new
vent line connected to the tank? Are there new penetrations into the sump for this EVIR
upgrade? Please draw and label how the new vent line is connected to the tank.
The detail on Sheet I has been modified to show the penetration of the now
vent pipe from the EVIR into the 91 sump and connected to the tank.
4.) This work plan still has not included location of the existing fuel lines requested by EHD
in the above two previous emails. If this information is unknown, then secondary
containment test for all fuel lines will be required.
The exact location of the existing fuel fines is unknown. Note has been
added to Sheet 1 in the upper left portion of the drawing.
