Adam Ennis
From: Richard Warren [richard@franzenhill.com]
Sent: Wednesday, May 19, 2010 4:29 PM
To: Adam Ennis
Cc: Diane Lopez
Subject. Fwd: 2512 Waterloo EVR upgrade permit status
Adam
Please Call me after 5:30
Sent from my iPhone
Begin forwarded message:
From: "Jeff Wong [EH]"<Jwong@sjcehd.com<mailto:Jwong@sjcehd.com>>
Date: May 19, 2010 4:29:56 PM PDT
To: Diane Lopez <dlopez@franzenhill.com<mailto:dlopez@franzenhill.com>>
Cc: Richard Warren <richard@franzenhill.com<mailto:richard@franzenhill.com>>
Subject: RE: 2512 Waterloo EVR upgrade permit status
Diane and Richard:
Thanks for the revised plans for the service request (SR0057217). our office (EHD)
received it on May 13, 2010. 1 left a message on your (Diane's) voice mail the next day
on May 14, 2010 that EHD still has questions before we can approve this Service Request.
Since I have not heard back from you, I thought I would send you an email.
In order for EHD to approve this workplan,.please provide the following information:
-- Please clarify what is the "pipe" penetrating the sump (but NOT connected to the tank)
drawn on Sheet 1? Is this "pipe" the old vent line, or new line, or some secondary
conduit where the old and/or new vent lines are pulled through to be connected to the
tank? Please label.
-- EHD had asked for the "fate of the existing vent lines to the vent" in two previous
email correspondences dated April 6 and May 5. 2010. The workplan stated that "existing
vent lines to remain connected". Does that mean the existing vent line is still connected
to the exsting vent column but is cut off /capped off inside the sump, or is it cutoff
outside the sump? Please provide drawing of the existing vent and where it is cut off
from the tank.
-- EHD had asked for depth of the penetration into the 91 sump. Is the above -referenced
"pipe" drawn on the workplan where the new vent line penetrates into the sump? If this
"pipe" drawn on the workplan has nothing to do with the new vent line, how is the new vent
line connected to the tank? Are there new penetrations into the sump for this EVR
upgrade? Please draw and label how the new vent line is connected to the tank.
-- This work plan still has not included location of the existing fuel lines requested by
EHD in the above two previous emails. If this information is unknown, then secondary
containment test for all fuel lines will be required.
Please submit the above information as soon as possible. At this point it would appear
that at minimum, a secondary containment test for the tank is required. Based on further
information from you, a lake test for the sump and secondary containment test for the fuel
lines may also be required.
Sincerely,
From: Diane Lopez (mailto:dlopez@franzenhill.coml
Sent: Thursday, May 13, 2010 1:30 PM
1
