Installing Units on the Island Anchoring the Pump/Dispenser to the Island <br />2 Loosely anchor the pump/dispenser to the island according to the foundation layout locations, <br />using all the required anchoring points as follows: <br />• Use 1/2" anchor studs with heavy duty large washers (slot designed for that size). <br />• Use bolts or studs that are of grade 5 steel. <br />• Use hardware that is corrosion -protected or resistant. <br />Note: Do not use plastic, low strength, or pallet bolts. <br />• Studsibolts must be securely anchored to the island or Pit Box (see Figure 6-9). <br />• For additional important information, refer to the anchor or Pit Box manufacturer's <br />instructions. <br />Figure 6-9: Anchors for the Pump/Dispenser <br />MDE-3985UEncore(& Installation Manual • September 2011 Page 53 <br />
