6 0 <br /> 2. The Manager, or senior personnel, will ensure that the nature of the alarm <br /> situation is immediately diagnosed. Arrangements will be made for a contractor <br /> to verify proper operation of the continuous monitoring system and/or confirm the <br /> suspected breach of the primary/secondary system. <br /> 3. If the continuous monitoring system was determined to be operation in a faulty <br /> manner, it shall be repaired, tested, and certified as operational according to <br /> manufacturer's specifications. <br /> 4. Upon confirmation of a breach in the tank system, the system will be immediately <br /> taken out of service and the product properly removed and disposed of in <br /> accordance with all federal, state, and county requirements. Small quantities of <br /> product shall be removed by hand pump and placed in closed, labeled drums <br /> pending proper disposal. Larger quantities shall be removed by vacuum truck. <br /> 5. Removal and disposal of hazardous substances will be conducted by the <br /> contractor posted in the General Manager's office and in the Utility work room. <br /> 6. The manager shall be responsible for authorizing all work necessary under this <br /> plan and the Environmental Service Group will notify HAZMATat(951) 358- <br /> 5055 of any releases within 24 hours. Upon completion of repairs, but prior to <br /> the system being placed back into operation, the system shall be integrity tested <br /> and copies of the results submitted to HAZMAT for review. <br />
