Jack Tone Rd.
Ripon, CA 95366
Dear Ms. Manzo:
JUN 2 9 2016
Sent via Email
This letter is related to issues noted on the Underground Storage Tank (UST) Inspection Report,
completed by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) on May 4 and May 6,
2016, amended on May 13, 2016, and received on May 25, 2016 via certified mail. Please find below a
list of the violations noted at the referenced facility and Pilot's response.
1. UST Operating Permit Application for Facility and Tank Information not submitted or current.
UST Tank Information forms for all existing USTs are not current in CERS. All tank forms
(except the oil water separator) indicated that Audible/Visual alarms are utilized in addition to
the Fill Tube Shut-off Valve for overfill protection. The oil water separator tank's form
indicated that no spill container is installed and only Audible/Visual alarms are utilized; a spill
container and a fill tube shut-off valve only was present on this tank. Also, the onsite
technician indicated that no audible/visual alarms utilized for overfill protection could be
located. Any change of information must be updated in CERS within 30 days of the changes.
Immediately log into CERS, update the required information, and submit for review by the
EHD.
This is a Class II violation.
This information has been changed in CERS and submitted for review.
Monitoring and response plans not current or approved by the EHD.
The monitoring plan is not current and/or not approved by the EHD. The monitoring plan for
the onsite oil water separator indicates that the leak alarm triggers the automatic pump shut
down and failure or disconnection of the sensor also triggers an automatic pump shut down.
The monitoring plan must be uploaded to the California Environmental Reporting System
(CERS). Immediately log into CERS, make the necessary changes, and submit for review by
the EHD.
The Customer 1Oriven Company
Pilot Travel Centers LLC • P.O.
