S0 JOA U 1 Environmental Health Department <br /> U ; i y <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> LATHROP WOODWORKS 1 16175 S MCKINLEY AVE, LATHROP November 22, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following were observed in the used oil tank area: <br /> -One approximately 240 gallon used oil tank observed with heavy oil stains observed on the floor in the used oil tank <br /> room. <br /> The following were found in the mechanic shop: <br /> -One 5 gallon bucket filled with used oil observed with oil accumulating on top of lid. Operator corrected on site, <br /> used shop towel to wipe down lid and place soiled towel into soiled shop towel container. <br /> -One 55 gallon drum with used oil observed oil accumulating on top of lid. Operator used shop towels to clean oil off <br /> lid and placed soiled shop towels in soiled shop towel containers. <br /> -Two used paper oil filters were observed in a oil pan. Operator states that he does not have a container for used <br /> paper oil filters, but will request one from Ramos Environmental. <br /> Note: Soiled rags are laundered by Unifirst. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean heavy oil stains. Manage the waste according to Title 22 California <br /> Code of Regulations for hazardous waste.
