Pacific EcoRisk Environmental Consulting and Testing
4. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
An evaluation of the acute aquatic toxicity of the waste sample designated "Waste Water Pond
1,2 Composite" was performed using the sample that was collected December 13, 2018 and
delivered to our testing laboratory on December 20, 2018. The results of this test are summarized
below.
The results of this evaluation indicate that the waste sample "Waste Water Pond 1,2 Composite"
was not acutely toxic to fathead minnows at the tested treatment levels. The 96 -hr LC50 of this
sample was >750 mg/L, which is greater than the hazardous waste classification threshold of 500
mg/L, as defined by CA Title 22 CCR §66261.24. Accordingly, the sample should not be
considered a hazardous waste with respect to acute aquatic toxicity.
4.1 QA/QC Summary
Test Conditions — All test conditions (pH, D.O., temperature, etc.) were within acceptable limits
for this test. All analyses were performed according to laboratory Standard Operating
Procedures. The client waived the pre-test holding period for the fish.
Negative Control — The biological responses at the Lab Control treatments were within
acceptable limits.
Concentration -Response Relationship — The concentration -response relationships for this test
was evaluated as per EPA guidelines (EPA -821-B-00-004), and were determined to be
acceptable.
Page 3 ))>
6/13
