Product of the release
determined to be an estimated 40-60 lbs. of light weight concrete mix into the bay. Patriot
dispatched crew and equipment to contain, mitigate and recover the material from the water.
Waste generated from the response was properly segregated, packaged according to DOT
regulations, transported off site and disposed of.
Resources:
Personnel: 1 Supervisor
1 Equipment Operator
3 Field Technicians
Equipment: 1 17' Work Skiff w/Outboard
1 Marine Response Trailer
1000' feet 18" Containment Boom(1000 ft. deployed)
1 Gear Truck
1 Response Truck
09/07/2018 — City of Coronado called to report a cooking grease/oil release from a broken pipe
located under the Bluewater Boathouse Grill Restaurant, 1701 Strand Way, Coronado (San
Diego), CA. Amount of the release unknown. Hard containment boom deployed and material was
recovered, waste generated was manifested and transported off site for proper disposal.
