At WEST END or Morrision Island, anchor one <br /> end of 9x9+ boom at Rindge Tract levee and other lapping well onto Stockton Channel face well up from <br /> Morrison Island tip. One channel continues east and south 6 miles to 1-5, the other northerly 6 miles to <br /> junction with Disappointment Slough. <br /> LAND ACCESS: LEVEE ROADS good unless wet <br /> WATER LOGISTICS: depth problems only near shore <br /> Limitations:depth,obstruction <br /> Launching, Loading, Docking Boat launch and rental boats just across channel at Windmill Cove Resort. Stockton harbor <br /> and Services Available: has all manner of marina facilities. <br /> FACLITIES,STAGING AREAS,POSSIBLE FIELD POSTS AND EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE: <br /> Deployment possible from nearby levees.Also from Windmill Cove Resort. Consider using the tip of Roberts Island at <br /> Turner Cut/Acker Island as a major deployment site for this section of the Channel.
