Slips trips and falls on levee riprap. <br /> SITE STRATEGIES <br /> Strategy 2-070.1 Objective: Exclude/Contain boom at east Slough mouth on Little Potato Slough. <br /> Set swamp boom across the slough mouth. Anchor each boom end near adjacent riprap levees, leaving a trailin( <br /> boom length for a tidal seal. Back with sorbent boom. <br /> Strategy 2-070.2 Objective: Exclude/Contain boom mouth at San Joaquin River. <br /> The slough is wide and exposed to wave wash and strong currents so that boom must be placed upstream and <br /> diagonal away from the River. At a bend of the west side (Bouldin Isl) levee about 100 yards upstream from <br /> mouth (at PG&E transformer), anchor one end of 8X8 boom and run 1200 ft of boom upstream to anchor other <br /> end near Venice Isl levee (east side). Leave trailing boom ends for tidal seal. This site begins at its mouth on Little Potato Slough two miles south of <br /> Terminous to its junction with the San Joaquin River six miles westerly. It is bordered by Bouldin Island on the north and <br /> Venice Island to the south. <br /> LAND ACCESS: LEVEE ROADS good unless wet <br /> WATER LOGISTICS: depth problems only near shore <br /> Limitations:depth,obstruction <br /> Launching, Loading, Docking Marina service is available at terminus, end of 8-mile Rd,Also at tip of Andrus Island -Korth's <br /> and Services Available: Marina at Mokelumne half mile from west end. <br /> FACILITIES,STAGING AREAS,POSSIBLE FIELD POSTS AND EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE: <br /> Deployment and support possible from nearby levees of Bouldin and Venice Isls during dry weather.Also from nearby <br /> marinas.
