Magnets will <br /> be utilized to delineate between non-mercury and rnercLuy flame sensors- <br /> mercury sensors being magnetic. Employees receive specific classroom and <br /> on-the job training in the identification and removal of mercury switches. <br /> Refrigerant and Compressor Oils <br /> Identification: Oil must be removed from compressors in air conditioning and <br /> refrigeration units and washing machine tnuismissions. Removal will be <br /> completed as per the CIWMB Appliance Recycling Guide and other training <br /> documents. <br /> Capacitors <br /> Identification: Capacitors and PCB Capacitors will be identified and removed as <br /> per the CIWMB Appliance Recycling Guide and other training documents. If <br /> there is any doubt as to the PCB content, a capacitor will be assumed to <br /> contain PCBs. <br /> Refrigerants <br /> Identification: Refrigerants are.found in refrigerators and air conditioning <br /> units. Refrigerant removal will be done as per the CIWMB Appliance <br /> Recycling Guide and other training documents. <br /> Mercury containing lamps <br /> Identification: Mercury containing lamps are found in appliances Refrigerants <br /> are found in refrigerators and air conditioning units. Refrigerant removal will <br /> be done as per the CIWMB ,Appliance Recycling Guide and other training <br /> documents. <br /> 5) Storage and Disposition <br /> The following describes how MRSH will be stored and labeled, the records kept and the <br /> ultimate disposition. <br /> Mercury switches <br /> Packaging: 5 gallon buckets with screw top lids <br /> Labeling: Labels will be affixed to the 5 gallon bucket at the time the first <br /> mercury switch is placed in the bucket.
