The lamps were then transported to the
District Service Center hazardous material storage cage. See attached
universal waste disposal log dated July 11 , 2019 .
• Re : Item 4712 — UW handler failed to label universal waste to identify type of
universal waste.
o The universal waste lamps have been placed in proper storage boxes
that prevent breakage and release to the environment and labeled with
an accumulation start date. The lamps were then transported to the
District Service Center hazardous material storage cage. See attached
universal waste disposal log dated July 11 , 2019 .
• Re : Item 4713 — UWH stored UW onsite greater than one year or was unable
to demonstrate storage time.
o The universal waste lamps were removed between the date of May 27`h
(the last day of school as part of a school wide bulb replacement
program) and the date of this inspection. They have been placed in
proper storage boxes that prevent breakage and release to the
environment and labeled with an accumulation start date. The lamps
were then transported to the District Service Center hazardous material
storage cage. See attached UW disposal record dated July 11 , 2019 .
• Re : Item #715 — UWH failed to keep complete records of each shipment of
universal waste for three years.
o All shipment of universal waste records are kept in a binder located in
the Counseling room at Tracy High School. They were onsite at the
time of this inspection but not locatable due to the head maintenance
employee not being present. See attached disposal records obtained
from the onsite binder.
The above referenced updates are being submitted to EHD for approval. If you have
any further questions or concerns related to the Kimball High School inspection, I can
be reached at (209) 830-3216 .
Sincerely,
Anthony Flores
Director of Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation
