The Powell Machine Room is in the southwest comer of the warehouse and is in an enclosed room with transparent walls. The room has grates over the entire bottom creating a sump. There is also a square, open-top sump separate from the room sump, that is located in the southeast comer of the Powell Machine Room. GPS coordinates for this sample were not recorded because the location is very close to the sample location for Sample TCS-08 (see Attachment 1, Sample Location Map). Sample Informationt.Fieid Observations: The sample was a cloudy, medium-yellow solution, collected from the square, open-top sump in the southeast Corner of the Powell Machine Room. There is a.sink outside the Powell Machine Room adjacent to the open-top sump. A pipe from the sink goes into the sump, so that all liquids from the sink go into the sump. There is a sign above the sinks that says, "Sink use for bleach and caustic onlyl" Reynon stated that the sink was used to rinse out glassware and other lab equipment used to test the properties of the bleach solution. Field Observations: A sign posted in the area said: "Process Make Up Water(containing 1-12% bleach) Pumped Back for Reprocessing". Field testing and other pertinent info: a pH strip used to measure the water showed a pH of approAmately 10.
