Quarterly Ground Water Monitoring Report- Third Quarter 2008
ARROYO'S SMOG SHOP
3012 East Waterloo Road, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Ms. Erlinda Hernandez,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared
this report for 3012 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California(site). The scope of work included
performance of a quarterly ground water monitoring event and preparation of this report. This report f
was prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines
for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites.
Site and surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1. Structures, soil borings, and monitoring well
locations are illustrated in Figure 2. Site Background information is provided in Appendix A.
Three ground water monitoring wells were installed at the eastern edge of the site(MW-10,MW-11
and MW-12)in conjunction with the ground water assessment of the dissolved hydrocarbon'plume
from the site at 3032 East Waterloo Road, however, these wells are not included in this investigation.
2.0. PROCEDURES
On 26 September 2008,a quarterly groundwater monitoring event was conducted utilizing site wells
MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3. Monitoring was performed in accordance with AGE's standard
monitoring and sampling procedures, providedrin Appendix B. Field data and logs are provided in
Appendix C.No exceptions to AGE's standard procedures were noted.
i
3.0. FINDINGS
Ground water elevation, flow direction, and gradient were determined from field data collected on
26 September 2008;contaminant impact to ground water was quantified by the laboratory analytical j
data. Findings are as follows:
• Depths to ground water ranged between 58.91 feet(MW-2)below the top of the well casing
(btoc) and 59.81 feet (MW-3) btoc. Ground water elevations ranged between 35.05 feet
(MW-2)below mean sea level(MSL) and 34.97 feet(MW-3)below MSL (Table 1).
• Ground water flow was inferred to northwest under a calculated hydraulic .gradient of
0.003 foot per foot (ft/ft). Figure 3 illustrates the contoured ground water elevations as
measured on 26 September 2008.-
y0 Petroleum hydrocarbons were reported in all the ground water samples collected; total
petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline(TPH-g)rangedbetween 350 micrograms per
i
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
I
a
1
