As specified in revised MRP No. 87-184, the
following constituents are analyzed for groundwater monitoring: Nitrate as N, TKN, TDS, pH,
trihalomethanes, and standard minerals including calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride,
nitrate, sulfate, total alkalinity including the alkalinity series, and hardness. Trihalomethanes and
standard minerals are monitored annually. Groundwater levels are recorded at the time of
sampling. Tables 4 and 12 summarize the groundwater elevation data and analytical data
respectively.
4.3 Offsite Groundwater Quality
Although treated process water historically has been applied to land at the Facility's vineyards,
other significant sources of the constituents of concern may also exist, such as releases at
neighboring industrial or agricultural sites.
