Tv <br /> a <br /> MAR 02 2016 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> Hazmat Training and Procedures for 321 Speckles Avenue , Manteca , <br /> All mechanics maybe exposed to hazardous materials /waste during the performance of their <br /> employment . As an employee you have the responsibility to keep your work areas clean and dispose of <br /> any hazardous waste generated in the appropriate regulated manner. Hazardous waste cannot and <br /> shall not be stored in your work areas . <br /> We must identify all hazardous waste that we use and dispose appropriately and look at ways to <br /> reduce . If you have questions contact your supervisor. All hazardous materials / waste are identified <br /> and listed by the EPA and California Department of Toxic Control <br /> Hazardous waste is corrosive , reactive , and toxic and can be ignited . Hazardous waste must be <br /> managed to EPA and California Department of Toxic Control Standards . <br /> Hazardous waste must be contained in appropriate containers that cannot be damaged by the waste <br /> being place and store inside of the container. <br /> Hazardous waste containers must be structurally sound , must not leak, have no rust, no cracks, and no <br /> dents in them and be sealable . Containers must be stored away from rain water and away from fire <br /> sources . <br /> All hazardous waste containers must be disposed of by a regulated disposal site and only be transported <br /> by a regulated carrier with the appropriate placard affix to the vehicle . All containers shall be labeled <br /> per EPA and DOT regulations when shipped . All shipments must have a manifest identifying the waste <br /> being shipped . <br /> If there is an onsite Emergency or fire contact your supervisor and/ or dial 911 immediately . <br /> There are three ( 3 ) spill kits on site , one ( 1 ) , at the steam rack, one ( 1 ) , in the room with the waste oil <br /> tank, one ( 1 ), at the lube bay outside by bollards . The spill kits are yellow in color and look like a small 55 <br /> gallon drum . The lids twist off. <br /> When handling Hazardous waste use appropriate PPE, s when necessary . <br /> Hazardous waste materials on site ( Not limited to the item s below . ) <br /> Various oil and lubricants <br /> Used antifreeze <br /> Diesel fuel <br />
