RECEIVED <br /> MAR 0 2 2016 <br /> Response to County of San Joaquin EHD ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> Item 105 1 the waste at the washout area was not tested due to it was more economicalto4d 'posePA TkR rtfT <br /> of as hazardous waste . Any waste generated will be treated as hazardous waste and <br /> cleaned up immediately after each job and disposed of in a sealed hazardous waste 55 <br /> gallon container on site and disposed of said waste within 90 days of receipt of empty <br /> hazardous waste storage container . Full container will be dispose of in the proper <br /> regulated manner with a manifest for shipper . <br /> A berm has been installed to prevent water and material leaving the steam work area . <br /> Training has been provided to staff regarding clean up and disposal of material /dirt, <br /> ( Debris grease oil combined ) that may come in contact with the steam rack floor and <br /> proper disposal methods of said material . Staff has been trained to be aware and <br /> prevent any water or debris from entering the storm drain area from steam rack area . <br /> Additionally we have installed filters into 2 storm drains located in back lot area . They <br /> are designed to catch oil and sediments . . Also 3 spill kits have been located on site to <br /> aid in the prevention of any foreign materials from entering storm drains on site . <br /> 2 . The two metal central valley containers that contained the gallon oil containers are <br /> being removed from site . The water in these two containers was not tested . The water <br /> in the two containers was hauled off site as hazardous waste . Attached is the manifest . <br /> The gallon oil containers will now be dumped into the trash and not recycled . The gallon <br /> oil containers will continue to be drained from the original container and then resealed <br /> with the cap that the container was supplied with . The trash container being used to <br /> store trash and used oil containers will be covered to prevent contamination with water . <br /> 3 . The liquid that was in the secondary containment area for the diesel tank was not <br /> tested and was removed and hauled off as hazardous waste , see attached manifest . <br /> 106 , 107 Contingency plans are attached and training will be ongoing . <br /> Training was provided how to deal with a spill , the location of spill kits, how to dispose <br /> of hazardous material . Storm drain containment what to do in the event of an <br /> emergency, who to contact call See attached training summary that was performed <br /> February 12th 2016 . Attached are the names and job description of staff that were <br /> trained Documents will be kept on file and a refresher courses will be given annually . <br /> 110 Training was provided on February 12, 2016 by Rowie Sizemore , the service manager , <br /> maintenance staff has been trained about hazardous materials, how to dispose of and <br /> respond to a spills ETC ( see attached training summary and documentation of training ) <br /> Documents will be kept on file and refresher courses will be given annually . Hazardous <br /> waste training was provided to the mechanics who work with these materials daily . <br />
